Thank you for choosing to invest in your braiding journey with us. Our mission is to provide a supportive, encouraging and hands-on learning experience where every student feels confident to grow at their own pace.

To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before attending your training.

1. Enrolment & Booking

​

Your place is confirmed once full payment, or the first instalment of an approved payment plan, has been successfully received.

Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure every student receives personalised guidance and support.

Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with your course details and any relevant pre-course information.

2. Payment Plans

​

Payment plans are available across selected training programmes through approved providers such as Klarna, PayPal Pay in 3 or other available finance providers.

By selecting a payment plan, you agree to complete all scheduled repayments directly with your chosen provider.

Failure to maintain your agreed payment schedule may result in suspension of your training, certification and future enrolments until any outstanding balance has been settled.

3. Refunds, Transfers & Cancellations

​

Due to the small-group nature of our training programmes and the preparation involved, all course bookings are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled course, you may request to transfer your place to a future course date by providing written notice within the transfer period stated in your Booking Policy.

Transfers are subject to availability and are only considered if requested before the applicable transfer deadline.

Once your course has commenced, or if you fail to attend your scheduled training session without an approved transfer, your place will be forfeited and no refund, transfer or replacement session will be offered.

This policy applies regardless of the reason for non-attendance.

4. Cooling-Off Period (Professional Programmes Only)

​

Students enrolling on the Braid Artist Course or Braid Master Level 1 programme are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking.

You may cancel your enrolment within this period and request a full refund, provided:

​

• Your training has not yet commenced.

• No in-person training has taken place.

• No digital training materials, handbooks or exclusive programme resources have been accessed or supplied.

​

If you request your training to begin within the 14-day cooling-off period, you acknowledge that your right to cancel may be reduced or lost once training has commenced or course materials have been supplied.

After the 14-day cooling-off period has expired, all payments become non-refundable.

​

5. Attendance

​

Students are expected to attend all scheduled training sessions.

If you are unable to attend, please notify More Than Braids Academy as soon as possible.

Once a scheduled workshop or training session has taken place, missed attendance cannot be rescheduled, repeated or credited towards another course date.

Students who do not attend their scheduled session will forfeit that session.

For multi-session programmes, each scheduled session forms part of the overall course. Missed sessions will not be repeated or delivered separately.

6. Course Completion & Certification

​

Certificates of Attendance or Completion will only be awarded to students who successfully meet the requirements of their chosen programme.

Depending on the course, this may include:

• Attending all required sessions.

• Completing practical assessments.

• Demonstrating the required techniques.

More Than Braids Academy reserves the right to withhold certification where course requirements have not been met.

​

7. Student Conduct

​

We are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful and inclusive learning environment.

Students are expected to treat fellow learners, models, trainers and Academy staff with courtesy and respect throughout their training.

​

Any abusive, disruptive, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the course without refund.

​

8. Photography & Marketing

​

Photographs and videos may be taken during workshops and training sessions for educational and promotional purposes, including our website, social media platforms and marketing materials.

If you would prefer not to appear in any photographs or videos, please notify More Than Braids Academy before your training begins and we will happily respect your wishes.

​

9. Intellectual Property

​

All teaching materials, manuals, presentations, videos, worksheets, handbooks and Academy resources remain the intellectual property of More Than Braids Academy.

These resources are provided solely for your personal learning and development.

They may not be copied, reproduced, shared, distributed, uploaded, recorded, taught from or resold without prior written permission from More Than Braids Academy.

10. Course Changes

​

In the unlikely event that More Than Braids Academy needs to amend course dates, schedules, trainers or venues due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to make these changes.

Where possible, students will be offered an alternative date or suitable arrangement.

​

11. Personal Progress

​

Every student learns at their own pace.

Whilst More Than Braids Academy is committed to providing expert tuition, practical demonstrations and ongoing support, individual results will vary depending on attendance, practice, commitment and application of the techniques taught.

Completion of any training programme does not guarantee employment, business success or specific financial outcomes.

12. Health & Safety

​

Students are expected to follow all health and safety guidance provided throughout their training.

Please inform your trainer before your course begins if you have any medical conditions, injuries or accessibility requirements that may affect your participation.

14. Agreement

​

By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Training Terms & Conditions together with the Booking Policy applicable to your chosen course.
