Braiding has been part of my life since childhood. Today, it’s how I help women and children feel confident in their hair and how I teach others to build confidence in their own hands.

I started braiding when I was just six years old. What began as something I learned growing up eventually became a skill I carried with me through every stage of life. When I moved to Scotland, I saw how difficult it could be to find braiding services that combined beautiful results with genuine care for the natural hair and scalp. That gap stayed with me.

Beauty Splendour grew from a simple belief: "you shouldn’t have to choose between beautiful braids and healthy hair." What started with my hands has grown into a business built around thoughtful braiding, honest advice, education and helping women and children feel confident in their hair.

WHAT I BELIEVE ABOUT BRAIDING
Beautiful braids should work with your natural hair, not against it. That means considering your hair density, hairline, scalp, lifestyle and the weight of a style before we begin.
Sometimes the most professional thing I can say is, “I wouldn’t recommend that style for your hair” and explain why.
My approach is centred around gentle, controlled tension, thoughtful styling and honest advice. I want you to leave loving how your braids look, but I also want to feel confident about the hair underneath them. For me, healthy braiding isn’t an extra. It’s part of the service.
BEAUTY SPLENDOUR TODAY
Beauty Splendour is a private braiding studio in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, specialising in healthy, low-tension braiding for women and children.

Alongside client appointments, I also teach practical braid skills through supportive, hands-on training for beginners and developing braid artists.
The goal is simple: to create a space where clients feel cared for, students feel supported, and every service is delivered with intention, honesty and respect for the hair.

With more than 25 years of braiding experience, my work has grown through thousands of client appointments, continued professional development and ongoing involvement within the beauty and textured-hair industry.
Along the way, Beauty Splendour has been recognised through industry awards, media features, judging opportunities and collaborative projects including Project Afro.
I’m proud of those milestones but what matters most is how that experience translates back into the chair and the classroom: better decisions, stronger technique and more thoughtful support for every client and student.

My work doesn’t stop at client appointments.Through braid education, industry judging, creative projects and continued professional development, I stay connected to the wider textured-hair and beauty industry; learning, contributing and bringing that knowledge back into Beauty Splendour.
From projects such as Project Afro to supporting emerging talent and continuing my own education, I believe being experienced should never mean becoming comfortable enough to stop learning. The more I learn, the more thoughtfully I can serve the people who trust me with their hair and the students who trust me to teach them.
